ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
Arches National Park. Oh where do we begin? Some people call this park the Red Rock Wonderland. This park is absolutely gorgeous! There are so many beautiful sites and arches to see!! This national park holds the greatest and largest free standing arch! The arch is called Delicate Arch. This park also has amazing sunsets and beautiful sandstone cliffs. It has over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to giant balanced rocks.
FUN and BASIC FACTS:
Location: Utah, Colorado Plateau Region Established: November 12, 1971 Size: 76,359 acres Elevation: 5,653 feet -The Old Spanish Trail, a trade route between Santa Fe and Los Angeles, was traveled for centuries. Its route went directly past today’s Arches visitor center. -If you discover a new natural Arch, you get to name it! -Features over 2,000 arches! -Arches in park range from 3-300 feet wide!!! -Wind, rain, and erosion all helped sculpt this beauty! -Hunter Gatherers came here 10,000 years ago to find tools to create weapons. -Landscape Arch located in the Park is the second largest natural arches in the world. |

It can destroy their natural ability to find food and create a dependency on humans.
